It is time to make a difference!

There are 572,000 reports of domestic violence that are officially reported to federal officials each year; however, the most conservative estimates indicate two to four million women of all races and classes are battered each year. And at least 170,000 of those violent incidents are serious enough to require hospitalization, emergency room care or a doctor's attention.

According to the FBI, every day four women die in this country as a result of domestic violence. That's approximately 1,400 women a year. (http://www.womenindistress.org/press_release_26_524033909.pdf)

Shoe Card

This is a card that we were given to hand out to people. It's for women to put in there shoe so that their boyfirend or husband or whoever won't find it. Interesting idea, but what if it falls out when you take off your shoe, or you're wearing flip flops? Anyway it is still very informative.
